Raised between the vibrant soul music scenes of West Philadelphia and Willingboro NJ., Randy immersed himself in the sounds of Motown and the soulful rhythm and blues of the '60s and '70s. He loved it all, but David Ruffin left such an indelible mark on him, that he felt compelled to develop an elaborate stage show to pay tribute to his idol, and to ensure that David Ruffin's unique legacy lives on. On his brand new, 5 track EP, Randy shows that he has become a master interpreter, not just of David Ruffin's material, but of a wide range of material, from classic soul to Broadway show tunes, Randy can do it all - from Marvin Gaye's 1973 hit "You Sure Love to Ball," Johnny Ingram's "Baby I'm Yours," Will Downing's "The Warmth of You," to the timeless Broadway show classic "Some Enchanted Evening" - making it all sound seamlessly his own. The EP ends appropriately with a remix of Randy's take on David Ruffin's soulful 1975 hit "Walk Away From Love," just to keep his idol's memory alive.
